The London Olympics

Somebody got paid for this!! Seems incredable that this is the logo for the Olympics. Can you imagine the way in which it was presented at the meeting from the branding agency - Wolff Ollins. "We see pink as redolent of all that's best about London, it embraces the gay community but of course the colour can be changed to appeal to all the other groups that we wish to engage with in the run up to the Olympics, Green, black, red (cheers Ken), Gold, and even white. The broken boxes we feel will reach out and embrace young people (how? We haven't a $%$&*ing clue)."

UPDATE

There's already an online petition to get it scrapped. I just signed it, 10,757 others already had.

It works better in the video format.
I hated it, but now I hate all the sheep like bores who hate it...

A bit soon to describe us a sheep like bores :)

Unfortunately anon I'm not sure that the video format will be the one that is the most used.

It appears to have been designed by a modern artist after sniffing a bottle of glue.

I can't believe how hard everyone is being on this logo. It's just a logo. Any abstract design can be criticised.

Now, at £400,000, it is an astronomical rip-off, I'll grant you.

But if it was £5000, then I'd say it looks good.

I've been defending it on my site.
But my cause is not helped by the ridiculous crap about "inspiring young people" that some meat-heads want to project into the logo.
