Sleepy Holyrood lived up to its reputation yesterday when four, sad, confused MSPs voted for two candidates on the one ballot paper instead of one as they were instructed to do in the election for the Presiding Officer. They managed to spoil their ballot papers in a similar way to 140,000 of their fellow countrymen in the election two weeks earlier.
