Let's Get This Strait

There’s been a bust up in the Borders at one of the first get together’s of the new council. Apparently at a training session at SBC HQ in Newtown St Boswells a former Scottish amateur boxing champion, Dave Patterson, has stormed out of the Tory, Lib Dem, and Independent coalition because a female Tory Councillor pushed him off his chair. What is he a wuss? Carolyn Riddell-Carre, the Tory group leader, was the guilty party and this show of passion comes less than 24 hours after the coalition was formerly announced. Patterson is an independent but according to reports the coalition is not under threat (why would it be, he's an independent and by definition they act independently - Ed).

Someone should send them a copy of the country song by George Strait.

Well, excuse me, but I think you've got my chair.
No, that one's not taken, I don't mind
If you sit here, I'll be glad to share.

Naturally the Borders Party was not involved in the affray.

Misrepresented by the press mate, they were playing pass the parcel and indeed using the very song you mentioned, isn't that 'spooky'?
