Album Of The Week

A little late in changing this week - but it's worth the wait. Swing Out Sister are brilliant. But who are Swing Out Sister? Some of you will remember their hit singles from the mid 80s, Breakout and Surrender. They are still making great records and this, their ninth album, from 2002 is no exception. The group are principally Corrine Drewery and Andy Connell and they write tunes that evoke Bacharach and David, while also sounding like lush filmic soundtracks.

Lovers of Dionne Warwick, the Fifth Dimension, John Barry, Michel Legrand, and Dusty Springfield should give this (and most of their other albums) a listen. Standout tracks are the title song, Where The Hell Did I Go Wrong, Through The Sky, What Kind of Fool Are You and Alpine Crossing. You can get it HERE for a mere £6.98 and with a weather turning better you'll find that this album will be on the player for the rest of the summer.
