Just Think of it, War Breaks Out and Nobody Turns Up. . .,

There's news that the National Archives have released the transcript of the broadcast that the BBC would have used in the event of a 1970s nuclear attack. I was very disappointed to see that the line that was used in what was possibly the best single of the 1980s, Frankie Goes to Hollywood's 'Two Tribes' is not in the official transcript.

"If your grandmother should die while in the shelter put her outside, but remember to tag her for identification purposes."

There's a former bunker near me which is open as a tourist attraction. THey have various films on show as you go around. There is something of the fart in a hurricane about the advice...

There is a bunker within driving distance of my too. They are really interesting to visit.
