A Wet Day in the Borderlands
Mrs H. and I went on a digital photography course today which was held about four miles up the valley from us. It's been a filthy day here in the Borders and on the way home I took these pictures; I didn't get much chance to practice what I'd been taught as I was too busy trying to keep the camera dry. This is the River Whiteadder, yes there's also a Blackadder, which is pronounced Whit-adder and it's normally a third of the width of what you see in the picture. It's great to be back home...log burner lit, curry for supper and a malt whisky beckons. . .

Looks like you've had some rain! Effective photography.
That's some nasty-colored water.
All the local bloggers seem to be working on a common theme :)
We had to put the heating on yesterday. Sadly this summer has not been good for getting out and taking photographs. These are quite spectacular.
. . . and we've just lit the other fire as well as the log burner! It's not that cold it's the dampness that makes it so nasty.
Gosh, rousing pictures.
Reminds me of when I go to Wales. Plenty flooding there too. Got stuck once or twice. Never been that far North though, Richard, bless - hold on to the woodwork...!
Great shots but I wouldn't like to get any closer to that river!
