This is magnificent. If I saw something like that, I would expect to hear God talking very soon. Looks like it could be in National Geographic.

Lovely Richard. I got some good shots last night. Winter is a good time in Australia, especially when you get some changeable weather. Sunset and some clouds. In summer it is very common to have cloudless days.

Forest fires also result in good skies. When Yellowstone burned back in '88, the sky was orange for weeks.

Rob, and that is why Edvard Munch's paintings known as 'The Scream' have an orange sky. It was the aftermath of an eruption on Krakatoa in 1883.

Wow, I didn't know that, Richard. And that is one of my favorite paintings. It captures the moment of utter terror and hopelessness so well.
