As Good As It Gets No.14

The highlight of last night's TV viewing was former Prez Clinton being asked about voting for his wife, as he had just done. He put his hand on his heart and said, with a hint of a held back tear, "It's the proudest moment of my life."

What better than being sworn in as Prez? Better than being re-elected? Better than pulling Monica?

Spare me....

Chuckle.
I ended up at the Democratic caucus last night, intending to keep my son company. Obama has really electrified the electorate here in the US, even in Idaho. Four years ago, the County Caucus here in Red-State Bonneville County had 160 attendees. Last night, there were 940.
In Jefferson County, the number of caucus voters went from 20 to 160.
Something's up.
Very interesting and exciting, as many of the people were young voters.

Do you think the young vote coming out will ultimately benefit BO?

I've just noticed his initials :)

Richard, I've never seen anything like it. I don't know what to compare it to, and I think this may be the beginning of a resurgence in participatory politics in the US similar to that generated by Kennedy.
Of the 700-plus Obama supporters, more than half were under age thirty, in my opinion. Many, many were high school or college students.
Incredible.

Rob, it's just the reverse here. The young are scarily disenfranchised.
