The best one-pound concert of all time?! Holy cow! And they even had hot dogs.
licensed bar...uv lighting...hot dogs......i guess all you really did need was love.
That's as good as me seeing The Beatles for two and thrupence in Rhyl in 1962!Ah, The Who at the Dungeon Club, Nottingham, 1965, Five bob.Ah, Jimi Hendrix in the Lace Market, Nottingham, 1966. Ten bob - well, it was an all-nighter.Ah, Cream and Arthur Brown, Leicester, 1967. A quid.Ah, Brian Wilson, front row, first night of SMiLE, Festival Hall 2005. A hundred quid. Worth every penny.
Jimi at the Lace Market must have been one of his very first gigs. That's a treasure!!
