Was the Elephant Dung Flown Here?

Under the headline 'Our big, fat GREEN wedding' the Scotsman has a story today about a Tayside couple will today stake their claim to Scotland's greenest wedding when they tie the knot at a celebration that will also feature recycled rings, vegan food and home-grown flowers that will later be turned into compost. Iinvitations are made from elephant dung, the wedding dress is from Oxfam and the bride will be walking to the ceremony. The groom will wear his kilt, minus a sporran because he is vegan.

What a load of b&ll%$ks.

Surely he could have had a melon skin Sporran covered in pineapple prickles. Elephant dung is easily available (buy one dump, get one free) at the Edinburgh Zoo.

How many invites do you get from a dump?

I think it is important that weddings are of the zeitgeist - so that the pictures are a suitable record of an era, and even better, an embarrassment in years to come.

Will "being green" be something to be proud of, or will they feel suitably stupid of their full on wedding in years to come?
