BLAIR GONE?

An old letter to the Scotsman, which today seems all the more appropriate. But will he go? Will the Labour party go into meltdown with the impending arrival of Broon. I've actually put £5 on TB (C) not going until at least 2008.

Here's the scenario. TB believes the whole thing will fall apart without him and because there is nothing in the 'lasting legacy' stakes for him to hang onto then he'll hang on, and on, and on. Given that it's doubtful that he's going to save the planet ( "I really think it's important that the world follows our example') maybe he'll settle for saving the country.

The decimation of Labour in the Holyrood elections will be the catalyst for this.
