The North will be wanting independence next!Richard Havershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15309594787689405779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21660941.post-45538398684894124052008-08-13T13:06:00.000+01:002008-08-13T13:06:00.000+01:00Perhaps it is just a better class of homelessness,...Perhaps it is just a better class of homelessness, to be homeless in a southern city. Homeless snobs? You could improve your status by moving from the north to the south and then move to a more prestigious neighbourhood. I wonder if you have more status if you are homeless in Chelsea as opposed to Brixton?Colin Campbellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14991363859883869289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21660941.post-36342850729223794462008-08-13T10:12:00.000+01:002008-08-13T10:12:00.000+01:00I think to be fair to the BBC it may well be the a...I think to be fair to the BBC it may well be the authors of the report. They probably live in London too! Having said that the bias at the BBC towards London is sad but inevitable. They live in a rarefied media bubble that is seldom burst to let in a blast of realistic provincial air.Richard Havershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15309594787689405779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21660941.post-73734410665370022822008-08-13T10:03:00.000+01:002008-08-13T10:03:00.000+01:00It actually makes you wonder about the mentality o...It actually makes you wonder about the mentality of the London-living BBC. If all you northern people moved south to "London, Cambridge and Oxford", the country would sink in that corner. I can't understand people who want to live in London - what's wrong with the north anyway?Dragonstarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05935435587527038459noreply@blogger.com
